New Year, New Direction, Same Blog!

Hello readers and HELLO 2009! Today is the first day of the new year. And although I'm sure it's just hype, I feel so very refreshed! With every new year comes a bit of change. The changes happening here are exciting in my mind, and I'm hoping you guys, my readers, will be accepting. When I first started this blog it was all about cupcakes. Since then, the majority of my blog content has been about cupcakes, but every now and then I throw in a recipe for cookies, pies, even dinners. This year that will change, but only slightly! Instead of living in the comfy, cozy world of cupcakes, I'm going to broaden my spectrum to baking in general. Don't get your panties in a bunch just yet. I'll still be making cupcakes EVERY Tuesday, as long as "wing night" continues at our house. And I'll still keep a cupcake poll posted as often as possible... Just like old times! Only now my blog will be about much more than cupcakes. One of my goals for 2009 is to pick one technique and practice it until I feel pretty confident with it. For instance, I'm sure you noticed my love for pies in December. I made pie crust after pie crust until I felt pretty sure that I could whip up a good pie crust at any moment. Recently, I've been interested in biscuits. I really wanna learn how to make a good biscuit. You see where I'm going with this? I hope all of you won't mind this slight change. I'm gonna be totally bummed if I start getting a bunch of "A Subsriber Has Unsubscribed" e-mails in my inbox. As usual, feel free to send me recipes, ask questions, and lend advice.
